He is co-managing partner of CIC, LLC. As a veteran of the US National Team, he has competed in National, World Cup, International Open and Invitational Masters level events. Having competed in North America, Europe and Asia, he is distinguished as being the only American ever to have won professional level international events in all three disciplines of the sport: Speed, Difficulty and Bouldering. Scott Coyle - Co-CEO

Scott Coyle has been in the investment banking business since 1986. He has been instrumental in structuring and funding numerous early stage start-up companies through private placements, bridge loans and initial public offerings. Currently, he oversees corporate finance projects for Girard Securities, a San Diego-based broker dealer. He also co-manages a hedge fund, the Protean Fund, and has ownership interests along with managerial authority in several diverse businesses located in Phoenix, Arizona and Chicago, Illinois. He enjoys rock climbing, surfing and skiing.

Jim Waugh - Event Coordinator/Venue Manager

With over 25 years organizing events, Jim Waugh has more television production international level climbing competition experience than anyone in the world. He has contributed to the advancement of high level events through the extensive development of outdoor rock climbing, coaching, competition formatting, officiating, scoring, judging, athlete relations, logistics and coordination of climbing events with large venue management. Benjamin Robins - Managing Director

Mr. Robins is currently President of BDR Management, an international sports marketing and management firm. Prior to that he held executive management positions with Advantage International, Adidas, and for over ten years acted as Tour Manager for the ATP professional tennis tour. Mr. Robins graduated from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University with a Master of Management (MBA) degree. He is a recipient of Crain’s Annual Advertising Award. Mr. Robins is a former professional tour tennis player.


Joe Czerwinski - Head Routesetter/Forerunner

As one of the climbing industry’s top route designers, Joe has been routesetting competition climbing on an international level for 8 years. He has more television production level routesetting experience than anyone in the United States, consistently involved with ESPN and Octagon Production events. The only USAC Nationally Accredited Climbing Coach in Arizona, Joe is head coach of the AZR ‘Ascenders’ junior competition climbing team which currently has several nationally ranked athletes. Due to his role in the climibng community as well as his own high level of athleticism, he has obtained equipment sponsorship with several top industry companies.

Brandi Proffitt - Head Women's Routesetter/Forerunner

Brandi is a sponsored climber and professional routesetter with 8 years of national and international level competition experience. As a competitor, she won the ‘03 Canadian National Bouldering Championships, the ‘06 Western US Bouldering Championships, and ranked among the top 10 women in the US National PCA competition tour from 2001-2005. As a Certified Personal Trainer and the first female Nationally Accredited Climbing Coach she works with a range of climbers, from top-level competitors to those just learning about the sport. As an international routesetter, she creates bouldering routes each year in Asia for the ESPN Asian X-Games, a competition which has embraced a very dynamic format and style of movement, and has successfully appealed to television viewers and live spectators who have little or no background in climbing.
